A sign does the talking when no one's free to: BBQ joints and smokehouses use them at the counter, on butcher paper and on catering menus to point families, groups and catering customers to a family pack with two meats and sides. Edit it free online, then download or print it.

How BBQ joints and smokehouses use this sign

Use signs for opening hours, directions, offers and rules. A sign is read from a distance, often while walking, so it needs very few words in very large type. Worth including: how many hours you smoke the brisket.

Sell meats by weight and by plate side by side, and say what happens when something sells out. Test it: step back the distance people will read it from and check the main line is still clear.

What to put on it

  • A headline that can be read from across the room
  • A family pack with two meats and sides
  • An arrow, date or time if it helps
  • Your logo, small
