Questions

Is the QR code maker free?

Yes, with no account and no watermark. Download as many codes as you like.

Do the codes expire?

No. These are static codes: what you type is stored inside the code itself, so they keep working as long as the link or details are valid. Because they're static, you can't change where a printed code points; make a new code instead.

Is my Wi-Fi password or contact information sent anywhere?

No. Codes are generated in your browser with an open-source library. What you type isn't sent to our servers or to anyone else.

Can I put my logo in the middle?

Yes. With a logo the code uses the highest error correction (level H), which lets a phone read it even with part of the middle covered. Keep the logo simple and test the code before you print it.

PNG or SVG?

SVG stays sharp at any size and suits print shops and design software. PNG works everywhere; choose 2048 px for print.

Why won't my code scan?

Usually low contrast (a light code on a light background, or a light code on a dark one), a code printed too small, or too much text in one code. Use a dark code on a light background, print it at least 2 cm (about 0.8 in) wide, and link to a page instead of pasting long text.
