How daycares and preschools use this sign

Use signs for opening hours, directions, offers and rules. A sign is read from a distance, often while walking, so it needs very few words in very large type. Worth including: your licence, staff ratios and safety practices.

Parents look for hours, ages served and how to book a tour; put those first. Test it: step back the distance people will read it from and check the main line is still clear. Add your childcare license number if your state requires it.

What to put on it

  • A headline that can be read from across the room
  • A tour invitation
  • An arrow, date or time if it helps
  • Your logo, small
