Computer science progress path reward chart template

A reward chart helps students learning to code see their progress; computer science teachers use it for routines, reading goals and behaviour. Edit every word online for free, then print or download.

How computer science teachers use this reward chart

Put it on the wall or in a folder and add a sticker or stamp for each step. Celebrate the small steps as well as the finish so motivation lasts. Computer science teachers working on algorithms, debugging and projects can change every word to match the unit.

Use a monospace font for code so spacing and indentation stay clear. Set goals students can reach within a week; long charts lose their pull.

What to put on it

  • The goal in simple words
  • Boxes for each day or step
  • The reward at the end
  • Student's name

Sizes and printing
