Using this sign for Holiday hours

Use signs for opening hours, directions, offers and rules. A sign is read from a distance, often while walking, so it needs very few words in very large type.

List each date with its hours, and say when normal hours return. Test it: step back the distance people will read it from and check the main line is still clear.

What to put on it

  • A headline that can be read from across the room
  • One message per sign
  • An arrow, date or time if it helps
  • Your logo, small

Sizes and paper

This template comes in 10 sizes, including Poster A2, Poster A3, Poster 11 × 17 and Sign/poster (18 × 24 in). Indoor signs print well on foam board; outdoors, corrugated plastic (coroplast) or aluminium lasts longer. A-frame inserts need one print per side.
