How restaurant owners and managers use this placemat

Put them under plates or trays. Guests have a few minutes while waiting, so this is a good place for a story, a puzzle for children or upcoming events. Worth including: your best review line or years in the neighbourhood.

Put your opening hours and how to order (dine in, takeout or delivery) on everything you print; they are the first questions new guests have. Leave the centre of the mat fairly plain; that's where the plate goes.

What to put on it

  • Your logo and a short welcome
  • A weekday lunch special
  • Something for children to do, if you serve families
  • Website, social handles or a QR code

Sizes and paper

This template comes in one size: Placemat 17 × 11 in. Paper placemats are usually printed in bulk on uncoated paper; keep important text away from where plates sit.
