- Some labels come within 0 mm of the paper edge. Most home printers can't print the outer 1/8–1/4 in (3–6 mm), so keep text away from the outside edges.
- Most home printers can't print right to the edge; keep artwork 6 mm from every edge or trim afterwards.
- Pre-cut sheets vary slightly between makers and batches. Print the alignment test page on plain paper and hold it against your sheet before printing on labels.

The test page draws only the outline of every label and a ruler. Print it on plain paper, hold it against your sheet in front of a window, and save a nudge for your printer if the outlines sit off the labels.
Print at Actual size (100%), not "Fit to page". Use plain paper first, then hold it against your label sheet in front of a window.

Where these numbers come from
- ISO: ISO 216: A-series paper sizes (A4 210 × 297 mm; A5 and A6 are exact halves and quarters). Paper sizes. Layouts citing it divide the sheet exactly.
