Questions

Is the logo maker free?

Making and editing logos is free and doesn't need an account. Downloads and the brand kit need a free account: you get free downloads each month, and Pro includes unlimited downloads.

What's in the brand kit?

Your logo as SVG (colour, white and black), transparent PNGs from 256 to 4096 pixels, a PDF, a favicon set with favicon.ico and app icons, profile and cover images for Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok, the colours in HEX, RGB and CMYK, the font names, and a brand guideline PDF.

Where do the icons and shapes come from?

The abstract shapes, containers and emblems are drawn by us for Educated Designer. The icons are from Lucide (ISC licence). Fonts are Google Fonts under the SIL Open Font License, which allows logos and commercial use.

Can I trademark my logo?

We can't check trademarks or promise a logo is unique, and other businesses may use similar icons. Before you register a logo or print a lot of it, search your country's trademark register and consider asking a trademark lawyer.

Can I make a logo for a famous brand?

No. The maker refuses the names of well-known brands and never copies another company's logo. If it's genuinely your own business name, contact us.

How do the AI logo directions work?

Signed in, you can ask Educated Designer AI for directions. It runs on your device when it can, otherwise on our server, and uses AI credits you buy in Billing. It only chooses among our own shapes, icons, fonts and palettes; it doesn't draw logos.

Can I keep editing in the design editor?

Yes. “Open in editor” puts the logo on a new design, and “Save to brand kit” adds the logo, its colours and fonts to your workspace brand kit so every template can use them.
