Free HEIC to JPG Converter
iPhones save photos as HEIC, which many apps and websites don't accept. Turn them into JPGs on your own device: open this page in Safari, which reads HEIC itself.

Questions
Is it free?
Yes. Converting and downloading are free, with no watermark. You don't need an account for small batches.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser on your own device, so your files never leave it and we never see them. Closing the tab clears everything.
Will I lose quality?
JPG is a compressed format, so some detail is traded for a smaller file. At the default quality (90) the difference is hard to see; move the quality slider up for print or down for the smallest files.
Why does it need Safari?
Safari can read HEIC photos itself, so the conversion stays on your device. Other browsers would need an extra HEIC decoder whose licence terms we haven't cleared yet, so we don't load one.
How can I get JPGs straight from my iPhone?
In Settings → Camera → Formats, choose Most Compatible, and new photos are saved as JPG. When sharing or emailing photos, iOS also often converts them to JPG automatically.
Is the photo's location removed?
Yes, by default. The converted JPG has no GPS location, camera details or date.
How many files can I convert at once?
Up to 25 files per batch without an account, 50 with a free account and 500 on Pro. Each file can be up to 100 MB. Very large images may be scaled down to fit your browser's memory, and the tool tells you when that happens.
What happens to photo details like GPS location?
By default the converted file has no metadata: camera details, date and GPS location are removed. For JPG to JPG you can choose to keep the camera details, with or without the location.
