Questions

Is it free?

Yes. Converting and downloading are free, with no watermark. You don't need an account for small batches.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The conversion runs in your browser on your own device, so your files never leave it and we never see them. Closing the tab clears everything.

Which formats can it read?

JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF (first frame, or every frame in Chrome and Edge), BMP, ICO, TIFF, SVG and PDF. HEIC photos from iPhones open in Safari, which reads HEIC itself; other browsers can't yet.

Which formats can it write?

JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, ICO and PDF in every browser. WebP and AVIF depend on your browser's built-in encoder, and the tool tells you before converting if yours can't.

How many files can I convert at once?

Up to 25 files per batch without an account, 50 with a free account and 500 on Pro. Each file can be up to 100 MB. Very large images may be scaled down to fit your browser's memory, and the tool tells you when that happens.

What happens to photo details like GPS location?

By default the converted file has no metadata: camera details, date and GPS location are removed. For JPG to JPG you can choose to keep the camera details, with or without the location.

Does it work offline?

Once the page has loaded, image conversions keep working without a connection. PDF tools download their PDF library the first time you use them.
