Questions

Is my GIF uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is opened and edited inside your browser tab, and the new file is made on your device. Nothing is sent to our servers, so it works for private or unreleased work.

What does auto-crop do?

It finds the area that has content in any frame and trims the empty border around it: transparent edges, or edges that match the top-left pixel's colour.

Can I crop to a circle?

Use the Border & corners tool after cropping to a square and set the corner radius to half the width. GIF transparency is on or off per pixel, so curved edges are slightly stepped.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Yes, it's free and needs no account. Editing and converting your own GIFs adds nothing to them. Animations you build from photos or a video follow the GIF maker's rules: free files are up to 15 seconds with a small corner credit; Pro removes the credit and allows 60 seconds.
