Free GIF Effects and Filters
Give an animated GIF a new look: grayscale, sepia, black and white, invert, brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, tint, posterize and blur, on every frame or a range.
More GIF tools
Every tool opens the same editor, so you can crop, then resize, then add text in one go. Files stay on your device.
How to use it
- Step 1
Open your GIF
Drop a GIF on the page or pick one. It opens in your browser and is never uploaded.
- Step 2
Pick a look
Start from a preset or move the sliders. The current frame updates live.
- Step 3
Choose frames
All frames, or just a range.
- Step 4
Download
Make the file and compare the new size and frame count with the original, then save it to your device.
Questions
Is my GIF uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is opened and edited inside your browser tab, and the new file is made on your device. Nothing is sent to our servers, so it works for private or unreleased work.
Can I combine effects?
Yes. All sliders work together, and you can apply one set of effects, then another.
Does grayscale make the file smaller?
Often: fewer colours compress better. Lower the colour count in the optimiser too.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Yes, it's free and needs no account. Editing and converting your own GIFs adds nothing to them. Animations you build from photos or a video follow the GIF maker's rules: free files are up to 15 seconds with a small corner credit; Pro removes the credit and allows 60 seconds.
