Every tool opens the same editor, so you can crop, then resize, then add text in one go. Files stay on your device.

How to use it

  1. Step 1

    Open your GIF

Drop a GIF on the page or pick one. It opens in your browser and is never uploaded.

  2. Step 2

    Pick MP4 or WebM

The page only offers the formats your browser can record.

  3. Step 3

    Make the video

It records in real time, so a 5-second GIF takes about 5 seconds.

  4. Step 4

    Download

Save the video to your device.

Questions

Is my GIF uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is opened and edited inside your browser tab, and the new file is made on your device. Nothing is sent to our servers, so it works for private or unreleased work.

Why does it take as long as the GIF?

The browser records the animation as it plays, using its own video encoder. That keeps everything on your device without a big download.

My browser has no MP4 option

Some browsers can only record WebM. WebM plays in most apps and sites; for MP4, try Chrome, Edge or Safari.

Can I turn a video into a GIF?

Yes, with the video to GIF converter.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Yes, it's free and needs no account. Editing and converting your own GIFs adds nothing to them. Animations you build from photos or a video follow the GIF maker's rules: free files are up to 15 seconds with a small corner credit; Pro removes the credit and allows 60 seconds.
