Questions

Is my GIF uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is opened and edited inside your browser tab, and the new file is made on your device. Nothing is sent to our servers, so it works for private or unreleased work.

How do I use the sheet in CSS?

Set the element to one frame's size (shown under the sheet) and animate background-position with steps(frames).

Can I turn a sprite sheet into a GIF?

Yes: open the Make tool, choose Sprite sheet, set the columns, rows and frame delay.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Yes, it's free and needs no account. Editing and converting your own GIFs adds nothing to them. Animations you build from photos or a video follow the GIF maker's rules: free files are up to 15 seconds with a small corner credit; Pro removes the credit and allows 60 seconds.
