How to use it

  1. Step 1

    Open your GIF

Drop a GIF on the page or pick one. It opens in your browser and is never uploaded.

  2. Step 2

    Set the border

Pick a width and colour, and whether it grows the GIF or sits inside it.

  3. Step 3

    Round the corners

Set the radius. Half the width of a square GIF makes a circle.

  4. Step 4

    Download

Make the file and compare the new size and frame count with the original, then save it to your device.

Questions

Is my GIF uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is opened and edited inside your browser tab, and the new file is made on your device. Nothing is sent to our servers, so it works for private or unreleased work.

Why are rounded edges a bit jagged?

GIF pixels are either fully see-through or solid. Pick a corner colour that matches where the GIF will be shown for perfectly smooth edges.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Yes, it's free and needs no account. Editing and converting your own GIFs adds nothing to them. Animations you build from photos or a video follow the GIF maker's rules: free files are up to 15 seconds with a small corner credit; Pro removes the credit and allows 60 seconds.
